Flat roofing has been used for many years in the construction of residential and industrial buildings. Although this type of roof is convenient to install, it is also the most vulnerable to various types of leaks. Any error in the drainage system or a clogged storm drain leads to flooding, which can have quite serious consequences. But with the advent of polyelastomers, everything changed for the better. Polyurea has become the most well-known new-generation waterproofing material. • The spray application method creates a single layer of waterproofing that is free of joints, abutments, and other potential leak sources. No other waterproofing material can create such a coating.
• Polyurea is a highly durable elastomer with high tear resistance and elasticity. These properties protect the waterproofing layer from damage even when significant cracks form in the substrate.
• High adhesion allows polyurea to be applied to any material: concrete, metal, wood, stone, and even plastic. Furthermore, the finished waterproofing layer will have strong adhesion to the next layer, if necessary.
• This material does not change its properties when exposed to UV radiation. Even prolonged exposure to direct sunlight cannot cause any significant damage to a polyurea waterproofing coating.
• Polyurea is environmentally friendly and, in its operating state, contains no toxic compounds and does not emit harmful substances even when heated. This is why it is used for waterproofing residential buildings and even in the food industry.
• Any polyurea formulation can withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -40 to +120°C.
• Polyurea is non-flammable and does not support combustion, significantly increasing the fire safety of the objects being treated.
• Thanks to the spraying method, the surface processing speed with polyurea is very high. A three-person team can efficiently waterproof up to 1,500 m² of surface in a single work shift.
• Polyurea is an excellent material for waterproofing complex structures, filling all possible cracks and crevices, which is especially important on the roofs of industrial facilities with ventilation shafts.
• Polyurea waterproofing is very durable and can last up to 50 years without repairs.

When using polyurea, remember that maximum adhesion is only possible with a properly prepared base surface. It must be dry, clean, with sealed cracks and seams, and free of deteriorating areas. Also, before applying polyurea, it is advisable to treat the roof surface with a primer, which will ensure even better adhesion. These additional steps will extend the life of the waterproofing coating.
